Political Science and Philosophy

The Department of Political Science and Philosophy prepares students for a variety of careers and develops analytical reading, thinking, writing and argumentation skills.

The Department of Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is seeking qualified candidates for a Specialist position. The Specialist will work with textbook authors to produce a series of written case studies to complement textbook materials. This includes becoming familiar with the topic of the textbook, working with the authors to identify relevant cases, researching the cases using primary and secondary sources, and producing written cases suitable for the intended audience.

This position is a part-time, non-benefit eligible unranked, temporary role at 20 hours per week. The duration of the appointment will be one month with consideration for reappointment.

A master's degree in Political Science or Philosophy, or advanced degree in an area related to Political Science or Philosophy.
