Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and install AC and DC electrical or electronic wiring, systems & equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes hand tools and power tools to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, motors, or other components. Bending conduit and installing wire to motors and other electrical components. Assemble electrical cabinets and other components to a large overhead crane structure and trolly.
  • Bend pipe and install on 40+ ton crane.
  • Individuals will be trained on various motor controllers, wireless controllers and circuits that are used on the crane to help identify problems or defects, and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure proper operation.
  • Work from drawings and specifications with ability to follow a blueprint, understand specifications, and follow other manufacturing instructions while accurately building and assembling heavy machinery parts and equipment in a timely fashion.
  • Position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and general knowledge of electrical systems.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics required.
  • Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Previous experience with 3/8" and1/2" corded and cordless drills, grinder, plasma cutter, torch and welders required.
  • Detail-oriented and consistent.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.
  • Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.

    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal.


  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to operate a variety of small hand and power tools, the ability to operate electronic testing equipment, the ability to read and work from blueprints and schematics.
  • Must have own basic tools.


Education and Experience:

  • Three to five years of technical/mechanical and/or electrical experience required. Electrical assembly experience preferred.


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to climb ladders and able to work above ground (not afraid of heights). Typical working heights begin at 3 1/2 feet above ground.
  • Work on knees or while laying on back.
  • Work with arms overhead.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, 75# on occasion.
  • Able to stand for several hours at a time.
  • Must be comfortable working in tight spaces and can climb, squat, sit, twist, bend, and kneel.
