Job Description:


  • As a Tech Writer III (Documentation Specialist) for Corporate Product Development within Product Realization & Quality at SNC, you will be using your skills and expertise to work with subject matter experts, to obtain an in-depth comprehension of the engineering and operations business systems necessary to facilitate SNC through its digital transformation journey. This role is a stretch role for a tech writer and will focus on promoting the engineering platform, Dassault 3DExperience, the establishment of the SDLC management platform branded DevWorks, and advancing our organizational change management efforts to realize an integrated engineering development environment and MBSE practices. Your main responsibilities will be supporting Corporate Product Development's Lead Program Manager in documenting the material needed for the marketing, branding, and communication strategies to support SNC's engineering transformation. You'll host recurring internal and external documentation review conferences to solicit feedback from various teams for incorporation into future revisions.
  • Create and manage content that effectively communicates the benefits and value of Dassault 3DExperience, DevWorks, and MBSE to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, software development, product development, and business transformation units, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Support organizational change management efforts by developing communication plans that address resistance, build support, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all engineering-related communications align with SNC's overall branding and corporate identity.


Required Skills:


  • Understanding of desktop publishing tools, including publishing features of Microsoft Word.
  • Experience in other elements of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe publishing tools.
  • Demonstrated ownership of tasks, organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting business transformation initiatives.
  • Basic understanding of engineering tools and processes.
  • Experience preparing documentation with minimal input (written or verbal) from subject matter experts, such as design engineers and program managers, to prepare initial drafts and templates.
  • Familiarity working with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of product and documentation requirements. Verify content meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Knowledge of techniques for reviewing, editing, and formatting product management documents, marketing communications, and other organizational documents as requested.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage relationships with various stakeholders.


Preferred Skills:


  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a track record of implementing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Specific knowledge of Dassault 3DExperience, SDLC/Software engineering concepts, and MBSE practices is a significant plus.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry or DoD.


Required Education:


  • Must-haves: Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience A higher level degree may substitute for experience Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Prosci cert preferred.
