The Opportunity: We're looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our team in the crop insurance industry. This hybrid role blends marketing, communications, content creation, training, and light tech support to ensure internal teams and customers are informed, equipped, and excited about our evolving suite of digital tools and insurance offerings.

As a key player in our product rollout cycle, you'll help communicate the value of both new and existing crop insurance programs and technology features. You'll write and edit marketing and training materials, assist with company communications, develop engaging content, and support sales enablement. A strong focus of this role is copy-editing and producing user-friendly resources that make complex topics easy to understand.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Sales, Customer Support, and Risk.

This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role that demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and a solid understanding of crop insurance operations.

  • Location: Fargo, ND, or Ramsey, MN

  • Work Arrangement: This role will require 3-5 days/week in the office. The hours for this role are 7:30am-4:15pm CST Monday through Thursday, and 7:30am-12pm CST on Fridays

  • The starting salary range for this role is between $63,000-$94,000 depending on experience.

Your New Role:

Marketing & Communications

  • General writing and editing of promotional content, product announcements, and feature highlights.

  • Ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and strategic goals.

  • Develop visually engaging materials, including infographics, newsletters, and product spotlights.

  • Assist in contact management within the system around communication and notifications.

Content Development & Technical Writing

  • Author clear, user-friendly brochures, handouts, social media pieces, technology guides, and how-to documentation for new and existing system features and crop insurance products.

  • Create and edit promotional and instructional videos and tutorials that simplify complex topics for a broad audience.

  • Assist in maintaining and update existing promotional materials and documentation as products evolve.

  • Copy-editing of all marketing, training, and communication rollouts.

  • Ability to create, review, and edit internal process documents.

Customer & Sales Support

  • Work with Sales and Support to deliver consistent, customer-friendly messaging.

  • Gather feedback from end-users and the sales team to continuously improve promotional, training, and communication materials.

  • Provide frontline assistance during major tech rollouts and gather feedback to pass along to product teams.

Training & Communication Management

  • Stay aligned with the technology release cycle - learn and evaluate new features and enhancements.

  • Develop and deliver demos and virtual/live training sessions for internal sales teams and external users.

  • Assist in the support and troubleshooting of new technology features during and after rollout.

  • Assistance in meeting setups and communication rollouts.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-4 years' experience in a Crop Insurance, Marketing, or Technology Training role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in marketing, training, or technical writing - preferably in agriculture, crop insurance, or related fields.

  • Strong understanding of crop insurance processes and terminology is highly preferred.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise content.

  • Comfortable creating video content and using video editing software or screen recording tools (e.g., Camtasia, Acorn, Loom, Adobe Premiere).

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and present confidently.

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), CRM platforms, or customer support systems is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Work Experience

  • Background in agriculture, crop insurance, or insurance technology platforms.

  • Experience working in an Agile or tech product development environment.

  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact) and analytics platforms.

  • Graphic Design experience.

  • Website creation and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) experience.

  • Familiarity with HTML.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience.
