Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Coordinator.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing a broad range of complex program coordination for the volunteer programs within the Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine. Responsible for the development, promotion, direction and coordination of assigned programs, including program design, staffing, logistics, and other supportive functions. Develops and implements new educational and programmatic strategies for specific projects and health promotion initiatives. Facilitates the administration of program activities including recruiting and onboarding, scheduling meetings, planning, organizing and coordinating seminars, training, quality improvement oversight and other related activities. Works autonomously and with limited oversight.

Job Responsibilities:

Principal Responsibilities:
Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
Project/Program Coordination Responsible for advanced to complex project coordination of the Health Career Opportunity Program (HCOP) and two high volume Emergency Department volunteer programs: PAVERS and Project Healthcare with participants exceeding 150+ annually with roles ranging from nontraditional volunteer, traditional volunteer, student intern, and part-time employee.
Develops, prepares and revises programs, training materials, educational curriculum, database management and ensures satisfaction of end users through face-to-face evaluations, lectures, meetings, surveys and other measurement tools.
Work with multiple departments to ensure accuracy, quality and efficiency of all aspect of programs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to support program operations, educational and research initiatives, and program growth.
Responsible in the planning, preparation, organization, analyses, coordination and delivering of health promotion projects and programs in collaboration with stakeholders.
When applicable, coordinates/communicates with departmental or organizational leadership and the Chiefs of Service for input, assistance and guidance.
Engage community stakeholders in potential partnerships.
Supervision & Oversight Serves as supervisor and leader of volunteer programs.
Responsible for recruiting (nationally), interviewing, onboarding, orienting, training, assessing performance, retaining, developing and concluding volunteers (both traditional and nontraditional) and ensures all policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.
Manage daily program operations, schedules, curriculum, volunteer performance, and corrective action
Resolves and escalates issues appropriately to involved parties in appropriate timeframe
Reporting and Data Management
Independently prepare and review documents, presentations, and progress reports for ongoing and pending projects for leadership review.
Analyze and collaborate on project-relevant reports requiring data and metrics for sustainability, departmental review, compliance, and growth.
Present recommendations, reports, and reviews to departmental leadership and
internal/external stakeholders.
Set up and perform data collection activities in the clinical environment.
Assist with financial transaction and monitoring of budgets.
Conduct literature reviews and assist with federal and non-federal grant applications.
Deliver reports and goals associated with project grants, special, and ad hoc projects.
Scheduling & Coordination
Organizes and coordinates complex schedules, meetings, evaluations, and special events.
Plans, arranges, outlines and drafts letters, memos, agendas, and all relevant materials.
Manages correspondence of multiple high volume email servers.
General Duties
Ensure compliance with departmental and institutional policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to Project/Program manage and to multitask while paying attention to details.

Preferred Qualifications:
Project/Program management experience preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00- $70,786.80 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
