Overview:

Blue Yonder, Inc. is seeking an individual with a strong technical background and interpersonal skills to join our Revenue Accounting team!

Scope:

Core responsibilities include managing and developing a small team of associates to ensure accurate worldwide revenue accounting for all revenue streams.

Our current technical environment:

Software: Workday, Upland, Salesforce, Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of 1-2 direct reports while establishing a collaborative environment
  • Ensure revenue activity is recorded within the Company's books accurately, timely, complete and in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Company revenue accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manages the month-end revenue close process, including reviewing and approving billing and revenue schedules, reviewing and posting journal entry accruals and reclasses, and review of account reconciliations, to help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Evaluates current processes and procedures, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Works closely with the revenue recognition and quote to cash teams to help ensure compliance with the company's revenue recognition and contracting policies
  • Builds effective working relationships with other departments including Sales, Finance, Tax, Legal, and the General Accounting / Controllership organization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements
  • Interacts with external auditors and consultants to support audits and key projects.
  • Ability to see the big picture and make decisions while escalating issues and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications;

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA preferred.
  • Public accounting / assurance experience preferred.
  • 8 to 10 years of accounting experience
  • 1-2 years of people management/leadership experience
  • ASC 606 experience preferred.
  • Strong team management and development skills.
  • Willingness to support multiple time zones.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, strong knowledge of Excel preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, forward-thinking and problem-solving skills

The salary range for this position is $79,223.00 to $103,000.00 USD

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
