ABOUT YOUR ROLE

Government Banking Administrator (GBA) is an integral part of the Government Banking Team who contributes to new sales and portfolio growth objectives. The position is primarily responsible for providing support to Government Banking Officers (GBO), the Director of Government Banking and the Director of Treasury Management. In this role, the administrator will assist the team with call preparation, presentations, pricing, implementation and sales related service requests. The administrator will be expected to have a strong understanding of Treasury Management products and OceanFirst Treasury Management systems and processes. This role allows an individual to develop skills over time for a successful career with the bank and to pursue more senior roles within the Treasury Management department.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. In collaboration with the Government Banking Officers, the incumbent seeks new customer relationships primarily linked to the existing governmental, higher education, non-profit relationships.
2. Responsible for managing routine communications with all governmental contacts for County, Municipal, School Board, and Higher Education, Non-Profit, and related entities.
3. Meets with Government Banking clients to maintain rapport, resolve account and client issues and enhances treasury management services.
4. Attends Government, Higher-Ed and Non-Profit client events.
5. Assist Marketing Department with Government, Higher-Ed and Non-Profit client event organization and client outreach.
6. Proficiency in Data Management for Government Banking Customers/ Maintains effective and efficient master database for all Government, Higher Education and Non-profit clients.
7. Fully understands Treasury management needs from ACH, Wire Transfers, On-Site deposit services, etc.
8. Maintains excellent cross functional relationships with various department and Branch Management for localized support for signature card changes.
9. Creation, approval request, print and bind proposals in response to segment RFPs on RFPIO software tool.
10. Maintains electronic files containing at minimum:



  • RFP documents
  • Facsimile Signature Resolutions and Agreements
  • Corporate Resolutions
  • Annual Audits and Financial Statements
  • Treasury Management documents
  • Updates all client information to SalesForce


11. Participates in all facets of Government Banking, including sales, marketing, support, specialized services and profitability goals.
12. Responsible for compliance with bank policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and any other laws.
13. Attends and participates in Treasury meetings and Treasury product/service training.
Requirements
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU


  • Ability to recognize opportunities, maintain key relationships along with sales experience.
  • Possess strong positive team leading skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and Power Point and Productivity software, like SalesForce.
  • Knowledge of bank products, financial & Treasury management services, bank operations, and industry compliance standards, as well as relevant Retail Banking experience.
  • Excellent proposal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and effectively with executive and senior management peers
  • Knowledge or experience of overall banking environment
  • Ability to work a set schedule consistent with job and/or business needs.



YOUR QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relationship business management experience which may include finance, marketing, sales, and business development skills.
  • Experience with Treasury Management and Bank Operations ensuring the processes, communications, sales, and incentives are executed to deliver target results through channel partnerships.
  • Experience with Public Government Sector, Municipal, University/School Board, Non-profit an retail relationship experience preferred
