What you'll do:

As an Appraisal Operations Manager you'll manage coordination of a team of Assignment Managers shepherding the progression of valuing real estate, land, improvements, and/or other personal property. Ensure that all information required to conduct valuations, both from internal and external sources are accurate, uniform, and complete. You'll lead a team of Assignment Managers to organize the process of performing valuations, assisting internal and external appraiser and appraisal review staff to determine assignment reasonableness, defensibility, and to assure appraisals were prepared completely. One of your key responsibilities is to oversee processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored, and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis.

* Responsible for supporting the Chief Appraisal Officer, Appraisal Director, and Appraisal Associate Director with leading a team of department Assignment Managers and ensure that appraisal documentation and appraiser certification comply with regulations.

* Leads the team's response to internal bank employees and external vendors, in person, over the telephone, and via e-mail. Utilize intranet interface to ensure enterprise-wide distribution of forms and reports/reviews. Create and maintain various forms and contracts required to facilitate the appraisal, environmental, and enterprise valuation due diligence ordering, reviewing, and reporting functions.

* Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and budgets are adhered to and provide appropriate assistance to internal bank employees and external vendors, in person, over the telephone, and via e-mail. Create and maintain various forms and contracts required to facilitate the appraisal and environmental due diligence ordering, reviewing, and reporting functions.

* Oversees the commercial or residential appraisal, environmental, and enterprise valuation due diligence processes from initial service requests and assignment definition; and tracking the assignment through the appraisal ordering, delivery, review process and closing of the assignment file. Responsible for accurate and timely processing of requests for Appraisal Department related services. Review supporting collateral information and obtains additional information from various sources to process requests. Monitor all new and in-process requests to maintain accurate reporting and adherence to committed turn-around times.

* Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.

What you'll need:

* 6+ years of related experience in Commercial Appraisal and environmental due diligence processes or similar field.

* High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

* Previous leadership experience preferred.

* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.

* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.

* Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

* Certified General Real Estate Appraiser required.

* May require up to 25% travel.
