What You've Accomplished

• Completion of a BS in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering degree
• At least 3 years of directly related experience
• Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, and customer deliverables)
• Ability to develop networks and maintain good interpersonal relationships
• Work collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong advanced problem identification and resolution skills
  
• Displays informal leadership characteristics
• Questioning attitude and practices self-checking
• Advanced level of Microsoft Office and business unit specific software tools (ex. CAD, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SAP)

You may have also acquired the following skills:

• Mechanical and construction experience (including piping, electrical knowledge, equipment layout and testing and commissioning of new processes and equipment). Performs non-standard engineering, varied engineering, and new-to-you assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems and resolution of quality events.
• Machine design and manufacturing methods experience (Process equipment design, HVAC system design, Machining, Sheetmetal, Welding, Forming etc.)
• Works with minimal assistance and instruction on most assignments and solutions. Evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making adaptations and modifications for tasks not previously performed.
• Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables) and is able to adapt with flexibility.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD

As a Mechanical Project/Plant Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the DOG Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit. You'll join a team of diverse engineers to develop and demonstrate innovative solutions and value-added technologies focusing on supplying fuel, fuel components, and fabrication processes and facilities for next generation nuclear power plants. These solutions will ultimately be deployed into a new, state of the art, advanced reactor fuel fabrication facility designed and constructed at the Richland site. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $92,000 - $124,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
