Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
Shipping & receiving of packages; reconcile delivered inventory with order lists; Input received inventory into computerized inventory system; Prepare gear for upcoming season; general cleaning of equipment room
Position Summary
The University of North Carolina is seeking a self-driven, detail oriented individual to work in their Olympic Sports Equipment Room servicing 25 varsity sports. Duties include, but are not limited to: Ordering, receiving, designing, inventorying, issuing, maintaining, and repairing uniforms and equipment; Help oversee the athletic laundry facility in the Olympic Sports Equipment Room; Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records; Supervision of student workers; Assuring compliance with all NCAA, state, and university regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Individual should be interested in pursuing a career in Athletic Equipment
Familiarity with athletic settings and procedures of athletic departments.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in an athletic equipment room and/or working with a collegiate or professional athletics program is preferred; understanding of equipment room procedures and how it is structured. Experience working and athletic equipment inventory program a plus.
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Position requires the ability to move heavy objects. up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
