Journeyman Ironworker LinkedIn Twitter Email Message Share Category Skilled Trades Job Location 3002 Afton Dr., Batavia, Ohio Position Type Full-Time/Regular JOURNEYMAN IRONWORKER - MUST HAVE DETAIL EXPERIENCE Available ASAP Under supervision, the Journeyman Ironworker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection in a timely, quality manner. Pay: $30-$32/hr + $120/day per diem + travel pay Schedule: Monday-Friday, 50 hours/week Location: Batavia, OH Duration: 2 months Employee Benefits Medical and insurance benefits available 40-hour bonus payout and paid holidays after 1 year 80-hour bonus payout after 2 years 120-hour bonus payout after 5 years Required Skills Bolt-up structural members per blueprints and supervisor instructions Weld in 3G and 4G positions Rig steel using chains or cables Hoist and position beams, girders, and columns using cranes or by signaling operators Install angle, bent plate, clips, joists, tube steel, kickers, safety cable, and posts Plumb steel, install deck, stairs, handrails, and guardrails Field fabricate or assemble frames, columns, beams, and girders Insert sealing strips, insulation, wiring, ladders, flanges, gauges, and valves Required Experience Use all safety and personal protective equipment for the purpose intended. Use of safety harness and lanyard for proper tie off. Operate boom lift and scissor lift. Pull, push, or pry structural-steel members into approximate positions for bolting into place. Walk/stand on girders or other structural-steel members to position them or use rope to guide them into position. minimum 4 years of experience EOE/Vet/Disability
