Overview Gilbane Development Company is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Asset Management to lead our growing portfolio and drive long-term value. This senior leadrship role reports directly to the Executive Vice President and collaborates closely with the CEO and executive team to shape and execute asset management strategies.
Key responsibilities include oversight of a national portfolio encompassing 5,000 units of multifamily housing (80% affordable), 5,000 beds of purpose-built student housing, and select retail and office assets as well as m
anagement of over $1 billion in residential assets under development, with ambitious plans to expand the portfolio 2-3x over the next 3-5 years.
This is a pivotal opportunity to drive impactful growth and optimize a diverse portfolio in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Responsibilities Leadership Qualifications EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related master's degree preferred.
* Proven leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.
* Experience building or enhancing asset management systems at an institutional level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Familiarity with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, Section 8, etc.) and related compliance requirements.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency with real estate financial modeling.
* Understanding of property management operations and tenant relations.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development, financial analysis, and capital planning.
* Track record of successful portfolio performance improvement.
* Development and operations background preferred. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
