We are actively looking for a Transportation Technology Lead to join one of our Florida offices. As part of the Transportation Practice Group, the Transportation Technology Lead is responsible for guiding, directing and overseeing our transportation technology services throughout the company. The Transportation Technology Lead will partner with transportation leaders throughout the company in outlining our strategic approach, identifying a roadmap for successful growth, evaluating performance, developing strategic planning and assessing new business ventures in the transportation market.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Drives growth and directs execution of transportation technology programs, working with transportation leaders across the company
  • Provides project oversight on key transportation-related technology
  • Identifies, develops, recruits and mentors transportation leaders with a focus on technology, including those with strong business development and client relationship expertise.
  • Understands the latest trends in transportation technology and works to build and maintain market knowledge to assist making appropriate strategic investments
  • Provide technical knowledge and overall management of transportation technology from planning, design, implementation and operations of roadside infrastructure
  • Understand and assess the transportation technology team's strengths and weaknesses
  • Represent M&N at conferences, seminars, industry events and provides technical presentations
  • Serves as Lead on major strategic pursuits. Participates in go / no-go decisions supporting transportation technology pursuits
  • Leads and directs transportation technology services approach and organization to integrate skillsets into regions and projects
  • Work with transportation leadership to identify, recruit and acquire key and strategic personnel to continue to build transportation technology services across the company
  • Assists in the development of training programs that increase transportation technology expertise across the company
  • Partner with transportation leaders to better leverage M&N's current client base, and grow new relationships and contacts at both a state and federal level

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Technology or related discipline; required
  • 20+ years of experience in technology related to transportation / ITS; required
  • Professional licensure; preferred
  • Proven experience as leader in the transportation technology consulting industry; required
  • Proved experience with clients in the transportation technology industry including local, state, and federal agencies; required
  • Subject Matter Expert in transportation technology and related services in the A/E industry; required
  • Deep knowledge of talent base in transportation technology industry to help identify and recruit top tier expertise
  • Ability to build relationships internally across departments and externally with clients, partners, and subconsultants
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
  • Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire

Working conditions:

This position may be required to work at the clients office from time to time.

Physical requirements:

Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel will be required.
