- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Robotics Engineer to join our team at a leading defense contractor.
- This is a mid-level to senior role, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of optimizing and maintaining automated production lines.
- Design, develop, and implement robotic automation solutions for manufacturing processes.
- Program and integrate Fanuc and Epson robots with existing manufacturing systems, utilizing PLC programming expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for robotic systems and processes.
- Optimize and maintain the production line to ensure maximum uptime and throughput, while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Work closely with the support team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- The successful candidate will join a high-performing support team of 10+ individuals, with a great culture of collaboration and a "can-do" attitude.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in robotics, automation, or a related field, with a focus on high-volume, low-mix manufacturing environments.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in PLC programming, with in industrial robot programming and integration.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in machine tending and automation of manual stations.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Have a background in robotics, programming, and controls.
- Fanuc and Epson experience.
- Understanding of manufacturing principles, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Experience with other industrial robots and automation systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of increasing efficiency and productivity in a manufacturing environment.
