JOB SUMMARY The senior graphic designer is responsible for leading design projects from concept to completion, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring brand consistency across various platforms. They develop creative concepts, manage workflows, and collaborate with teams inside and outside of the department to deliver high-impact visuals. Proficiency in adobe creative suite is strongly preferred. This position falls under a hybrid work schedule with 2 days per week in office / 3 days per week remote. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required
- Education
Bachelor's Degree in commercial art, graphic design/communications, advertising, or related field.
- Experience
4 years graphic design experience with emphasis on printed and non-print media or equivalent experience and specialized training/coursework in commercial art, graphic design/communications, advertising, or related field.
JOB DUTIES
- Solves complex visual design problems for various projects.
- Creates and assembles comprehensive design layout for presentation to clients; sets up and prints posters, slides, prints via digital files; scans artwork, journals, books, and slides; edits digital files created for composites, prints, and/or slides.
- Produces artwork for reproduction in print and digital media.
- May train and/or provide working supervision for Graphic Designers.
- Coordinates high-level design projects; maintains budget and time requirements.
- Reviews print jobs for quality and accuracy; recommends use of color, typography, and aesthetics based on intended use.
- Consults with clients on job content, methods to be used, deadlines and cost estimates; works from client's ideas, hardcopy notes/drafts, and/or digital files to create most efficient computer peripheral output and file transmission of graphics.
- Maintains contact with outside suppliers; acts as liaison between requestor and other process/production providers such as internal photographers, printers, and outside vendors.
- Acts as information resource in matters related to design practices and specialized computer graphic hardware and software; troubleshoots and upgrades software.
- Records production information accurately; maintains client job files.
- Stays current with software updates and development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
