*Description*
Our client is a non-profit insurance organization headquartered in Raleigh NC. They are looking to hire a DB2 Database Administrator that can assist with operational work like system upgrades, performance tuning, and patching. An ideal candidate will also have knowledge or interest in SQL Server, as that is something the team is looking to adopt later down the road. This person should come from an environment managing DB2 databases on IBM z/OS mainframe. This person will be joining a 5-person team that is responsible for the stability and modernization of the organization's core database infrastructure. *Nice to Have* * Familiarity with LUW and z/OS mainframe. * Familiarity with z/OSMF to manage various aspects of IBM z/OS systems via web browser interface. * Exposure to SQL Server or willingness to learn. * Certifications: * IBM Certified Database Associate - DB2 11 Fundamentals for LUW * IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2 for Linux UNIX and Windows * IBM Certified Administrator - DB2 12 for z/OS * IBM Certified Database Associate - DB2 11 Fundamentals for z/OS * IBM DB2 13 for z/OS Database Administrator - Professional *Skills* db2, Database administrator, Mainframe, Systems, Sql, Performance tuning, luw *Top Skills Details* db2,Database administrator,Mainframe,Systems *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Strong communication and collaboration skills are vital for success. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
