*Job Title: Lead Access Control Installer* *Tek Systems* is seeking a skilled Lead Access Control Installer to join their growing team. This role focuses on the installation and maintenance of access control systems-including door strikes and magnetic locks-in commercial environments. While deep programming knowledge isn't required, exposure and a willingness to learn are important. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. This position includes a company vehicle, gas card, cell phone, and laptop.
*Key Responsibilities* * Install and test access control systems such as door strikes and magnetic locks * Perform cutting and fitting of hardware for proper installation * Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues * Conduct routine maintenance and system inspections * Collaborate with clients to tailor solutions to their needs * Maintain thorough documentation for all installs and services * Stay informed on advancements in access control and security tech * Travel to job sites (must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record) *Skills* * Security * Access control * Installation * Troubleshooting * Alarm installation *Top Skills Details* * Security * Access Control * Installation * Troubleshooting * Alarm Installation *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Prior experience in access control system installation or related roles * Proficient with door strike and mag lock setups * Comfortable in commercial work environments * Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities * Can interpret technical diagrams and manuals * Strong communication and customer service focus * Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license * Certifications in security systems/access control (preferred) *Physical Requirements* * Capable of lifting and transporting heavy equipment * Willing to work at heights and in tight spaces * Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity *Experience Level* *Expert Level* *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
