Are you our next Fabrication Support Specialist?

This role reports directly to the Fabrication Team Lead and follows a full-time, on-site schedule at our Air Way facility in Grayling, MI. This role provides essential assistance to our fabrication department, ensuring smooth production processes and high-quality output. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive and capable of support fabrication projects through deburring, material handling, general fabrication support and workflow coordination. Here's how you'll make an impact:



  • Deburr and smooth metal parts to remove sharp edges and imperfections.
  • Sand and grind fabricated components to achieve desired surface finish.
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment safely for completing metal finishing tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with fabrication technicians to meet production goals.
  • Help with the movement and flow of materials into and out of the department.
  • Support fabrication technicians with assembly, welding and finishing tasks.
  • Set up, adjust and maintain sanding, deburring, grinding and general welding equipment.
  • Operate essential fabrication equipment, including press brakes, box brakes, and rolls, to shape and prepare materials as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to accurately cut, grind, position and/or assemble parts or prepare them for welding.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized, and accident-free work environment



To Succeed, You Will Need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with welding and fabrication experience or recent training a plus.
  • Experience in metal fabrication, machining or finishing preferred.
  • Proficiency with grinders, sanders, deburring or other similar power hand tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical documents, and measurements accurately.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs. in a production environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Commitment to safety protocols, including wearing protective gear as required.
