Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled?Material Handler Leader. This position directs the work of 6 to 8 employees with an inventory level of $20MM-$27MM.
Responsibilities: *Leadership: Develops and maintains a high-performing team through recruitment, training, coaching and establishing aligned goals and objectives. Plans, organizes and delegates work assignments to best utilize resources, skills and equipment. * Policies/Processes/Work Instructions: Develops work instructions and processes to improve product flow, increase inventory accuracy, and achieve on-time delivery. * Employee Safety: Promotes safety as first and foremost, including behavior-based safety observations, incident investigation and follow-up, departmental inspections, employee training and safe behavior accountability. * Receiving and Parts Pulling/Delivery: Maintains workflow in the receiving department to ensure parts are received daily (or within the targeted timeframe). Maintains workflow of production orders being picked and delivered by the materials team. * Warehouse: Serves as the steward of the warehouse regarding layout, material organization efficiency, and safe, accessible parts locations. * Inventory Control: Owns inventory accuracy through transactional integrity, warehouse organization and management, and precision in material movement. * Aftermarket: Facilitates fulfillment of aftermarket orders. * Shipping: Serves as backup and flex support for Logistics Coordinator (Shipping).
Requirements: * 2+ years of experience in Leading in a warehouse, material handlers or logisitics in a manufacturing environment.
Core Competencies: * Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs) * Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and as a team * Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
Preferences: * Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization as well as suppliers and customers. * Previous leadership experience with demonstrated ability to develop and lead a high-performing team. * SAP proficiency
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements: This position will be based at our site in Bentleyville, PA no travel.
