The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 8:30pm.

Your New Role:

The Milieu Coordinator will provide direct support, supervision recreation, and skill-building activities for youth ages 9-17 in a shelter and community-based setting. This includes meals, transport for service coordination, recreational outings, emotional support and safety planning, skill building, crisis intervention. The Milieu Coordinator will help develop weekly schedules and maintain or adjust day to day calendar and operations at the shelter and with larger program. This position will administer medications and maintain documentation. Program supply ordering and stocking. Some outreach and community engagement, support with assessment, intakes and exits, as needed.

Skills & Knowledge:



  • Understands the issues of substance abuse, mental health, trauma, abuse and adolescent development including brain development.
  • Excellent communication, organization, creativity, flexibility, optimism, positive humor and overall interpersonal skills.
  • Use of personal automobile for transporting self and clients for work purposes.
  • Must have access to an automobile, a valid driver's license, and active auto insurance on that vehicle.
  • Must be willing to be CPR trained and certified.


Education & Experience:



  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with high-risk youth required.
  • Experience, ability and commitment to working with sexual minority and culturally diverse staff, participants and community.
