Application Window Open date: June 23, 2025 Next review date: Tuesday, Jul 8, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Dec 23, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Madhani Lab - Proteomics and Molecular Genetics Research - Junior Specialist In this position you would be an integral member of the Madhani Lab in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at UCSF which resides in Genentech Hall at the Mission Bay Campus. The Madhani lab develops and uses innovative technologies to understand cellular and molecular mechanisms of gene regulation in health and in disease. We are an interdisciplinary group of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and techs. We are proud of our lab culture of intellectual curiosity, collaboration, support, and fun. Previous technicians from the lab have gone onto highly desirable positions in graduate school and biotech. We welcome applications from recent graduates seeking additional experience. In this position, you will initially be assisting one or more postdoctoral fellows in proteomic studies of the human fungal pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans. Responsibilities include engineering of cells with appropriate tags, purifications, preparation of samples for mass spectrometry, and performing mass spectrometry in a collaborator's laboratory.
