Job Title: Senior Business Analyst - Corrections Information Technology Systems (CITS) Project
Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in Texas) Travel: Occasional trips to Huntsville, TX (at your own expense) Clearance: Must be able to pass a 30-year background check Experience: State agency or government IT experience is required Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Analyst to support a large-scale Corrections Information Technology Systems (CITS) modernization initiative. This long-term project involves transitioning legacy mainframe operations to a modern, off-the-shelf solution hosted in the cloud. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Program Manager to provide a high-level business perspective, identify process improvements, and facilitate strategic discussions across stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with the Program Manager to provide strategic business analysis and insights throughout the project lifecycle. - Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities. - Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including vendors, consultants, and executive leadership. - Represent the organization in meetings with external partners and provide clear updates to internal teams. - Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices. - Analyze complex systems and develop plans to address identified issues and risks. - Support project tracking, documentation, and reporting of key metrics and milestones. Required Skills and Experience: - Proven experience in business analysis, particularly in large-scale, complex government projects. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders. - Strategic planning and business strategy development experience. - Familiarity with business consulting methodologies and best practices. - Experience in project management support, including testing, scheduling, and risk management. - Ability to manage multiple work streams and adapt to dynamic legislative and operational requirements. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in environments with complex data and operational requirements Project Duration: This is a multi-year engagement (3-4 years) with opportunities to make a significant impact on a critical public sector initiative. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
