TEKsystems is partnering with a top client that has emerged as the largest complex systems integrator in Canada. As a leader in the design, deployment, optimization, management, and maintenance of IP-based Integrated Security, Audio-Visual and Data Networking systems, our client can meet the needs of clients on a national scale, while providing local support. Our client is seeking to hire a team of top Field Security Technicians in the Austin, TX area Description Technicians will be Pre-wiring and installing security systems, including access control, CCTV and intrusion alarms. Need to work with other techs and Project Managers by completing and filing all project documentation and working together. Technicians will be working on a variety of commercial installations including, hospitals, airports, corporate offices * Install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all Security systems at customer sites. * Installation will include, but not limited to: Video Surveillance systems, IP and Analog cameras, wireless, Access Control panels, Intrusion Panels, magnetic locks, card readers, motion sensors, door contacts, electric door strikes, etc. * Perform assigned projects within scope, in a timely manner, and on budget. * Provide customers with system operation and training. * Excellent attention to detail including maintaining concise daily records and following of operational standards and practices. * Coordinate with Project Management and Field Technicians for project scheduling. Additional Skills & Qualifications While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
