About the Team/Role The Senior Brand Communications Manager is an individual contributor, responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining WEX's corporate content strategy, ensuring it aligns with our brand values, business objectives, and target audience needs. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a strong understanding of content marketing principles and SEO. This involves working with the leader of the Brand team to create the brand strategy and messaging, developing/overseeing content creation across various platforms, and analyzing performance to optimize results. Brand Messaging: Develop messaging and content for key brand storylines and apply them to core internal and external resources (messaging frameworks, website, brand slide decks, etc.) assessing performance and updating regularly. Coordinate content development processes, soliciting input from a variety of subject matter experts, to create effective content strategies and draft winning content on brand-level themes. Work across a matrixed organization with senior stakeholders (including product, strategy and marketing leaders) to ensure the corporate Why WEX story is regularly refined and updated. Optimize content and corporate competencies for SEO. Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to maximize competency alignment and content visibility/reach. Leverage AI to assist and scale content development Brand Content Development: Concept, strategize, write, and/or edit copy and collaborate with various stakeholders to execute high-visibility deliverables across a range of mediums, including brand campaigns, speeches, event keynotes, scripts, talk tracks, web content, digital and print ads, social content, slide decks, infographics, event collateral, and more. Lead brand content workshops and roadshows with various stakeholders across the company. Corporate Thought Leadership Content Development: Collaborate with marketing leadership and subject matter experts to identify key themes, topics, and target audiences for corporate-level thought leadership content. Research, write, and edit a variety of corporate content pieces, including: white papers, ebooks, research reports, in-depth blog posts, and case studies. Promote content: Work with the marketing team to distribute and promote thought leadership content across various channels, including social media, email, and paid advertising. Brand Voice and Guidelines: Act as a steward for WEX's brand voice across the company by maintaining, contributing to and refining brand guidelines and generative AI tools to scale consistent brand voice and effective copy.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, marketing or related field Minimum 8-10 years of experience in creating brand messaging and content development, including brand narratives, white-papers, research reports, and website copy Demonstrates the ability to craft compelling brand messaging frameworks and apply them across diverse internal and external platforms. Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive content strategies aligned with brand values and business objectives. Experience in brand voice stewardship: maintaining and evolving brand voice guidelines and ensuring consistent application across all content. Excellent writing and editing skills, with experience implementing AI tools and a strong understanding of SEO principles and experience in conducting keyword research and optimizing content for visibility. Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to coordinate content development processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong self-motivation with a desire to make an impact, an infectious positive attitude, and an ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision A passion for representing the brand and its values, acting as a dedicated brand ambassador in all interactions and content creation. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate/present effectively with business partners and all levels of the organization Ability to learn quickly, prioritize and work under pressure, adapt to a rapidly changing ever-evolving environment and demonstrate a sense of urgency-while not being quickly frustrated or easily flustered Personal credibility in one-on-one, team and public forums
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Pay Range: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00
