Why M Physicians? The Clinical Risk Management Consultant's role encompasses key risk management functional areas including risk identification, assistance with risk analysis/trending, assisting with loss prevention/risk reduction, and risk management educational programs for University of Minnesota Physicians. This role serves as a resource for other departments in identifying system and process issues that impact on safe, effective and efficient patient care and employee safety. In addition to providing frontline clinical risk management support to the Risk Management team the Clinical Risk Consultant is a resource, internal consultant, and educator for risk management issues related to patient and visitor behavior concerns and triaging daily Compass/ACT Patient Safety Reports.
