Position Summary |
The University Program Specialist (
UPS) serves as a critical leader in the operational and academic program coordination in the School of Nursing, with primary responsibility for managing the operations of the Prelicensure Entry-Level Master of Science in Nursing (
PELMSN) program and overseeing the school-wide scheduling of
ALL nursing courses. This high-impact role functions with a high degree of independence and strategic decision-making, supporting academic excellence and program efficiency.
The
UPS works in direct partnership with academic program directors, department chairs, and senior leadership to design and implement effective course scheduling processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution in alignment with institutional policies. The individual in this role exercises expert-level data management, systems thinking, and problem-solving to proactively identify and resolve scheduling complexities and to facilitate seamless academic operations.
This position requires sound judgment, confidentiality, a strong commitment to student and faculty success, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes academic environment. The
UPS is not only a key contributor to the daily functioning of the School of Nursing, but also a valued thought partner in the continuous improvement of academic program operational systems. |
Minimum Qualifications |
BACHELOR'S DEGREE AND ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE RELATED TO THE AREA OF ASSIGNMENT; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE. ALL DEGREES MUST BE RECEIVED FROM APPROPRIATELY ACCREDITED INSTITUTIONS. |

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience working in a higher education academic support or registrar's office.
- Familiarity with nursing education programs and accreditation standards.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerPoint).
