Position Overview


Position Summary
The primary purpose of the position is to serve as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. Responsibilities include assisting the Head Coach with administrative duties as well as management of the women's basketball program in accordance with the policies and philosophies of the CIAA and NCAA.

This position also serves the HPSS department to provide instruction as directed by the department.

Assisting the Head Coach with administrative duties as well as management of the women's basketball program in accordance with the polices and philosophies of the CIAA and the NCAA.

Assisting with oversight of the team's conditioning and training, arrange team travel plans including practice times on the road; coordinate recruiting and aiding the Head Coach with public and alumni relations.

Serves as an Adjunct Instructor responsible for six contact hours per semester for the department of Human Performance and Sports Sciences ( HPSS). Required to attend department meetings for HPSS, participate on committees and other duties as assigned by the HPSS Chair.

On the floor coaching ; recruiting; assigned position coach; oversee managerial staff, assists with equipment organization and responsible for weekly practice time sheets.

Occassional nights and weekends required.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Minimum of one year of college coaching experience at a two or four-year institution or a minimum of 2 years in a successful program at the high school or college level.

Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
