To learn more: www.sony.com/en. POSITION SUMMARY Sony Corporation of America currently has an opening for 3DCG Technical Artist in R&D US Laboratory located in Culver City, CA. This position is responsible for supporting visual arts (e.g. Texture Art, Character Modeling, Blendshape Art) for 3DCG character pipeline engineering while closely collaborating with Sony's global R&D researchers for Sony's future entertainment business and services. This is a 12 months temporary assignment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with researchers, software developers, artists, and designers to create high-quality 3D assets and animation. Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques to enhance workflows and improve final output. Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input for visual concepts and designs. Troubleshoot technical issues related to 3D asset creation, animation, and rendering. Create documentation and tutorials to share knowledge and best practices with team members. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals and deadlines are met. Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION Your qualifications and experience should include: B.S. degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related fields. 3+ years of hands-on experience in 3D computer graphics (3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering). Experience with photo-real CG content creation workflow in games, film or other entertainment industries. Familiarity with 3D CG tools such as Zbrush, Maya, Blender, Houdini, Photoshop, Wrap, Mudbox Excellent communication skills. Authorization to work in the USA. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.
