This position offers a unique opportunity to apply and grow your accounting skills in a dynamic and mission-driven environment. As an Accounting Associate in the Loan Accounting and Processing Unit (LAPU), you will play a key role in supporting the financial integrity of critical loan programs administered by state agencies such as the Department of Community and Economic Development and the Department of Transportation. From processing and reconciling loan disbursements and repayments to assisting with financial reporting and ensuring GAAP compliance, your work will directly contribute to the Commonwealth's efforts to invest in communities and infrastructure. You will be part of a team that ensures financial accountability for programs that support Pennsylvania residents and businesses. In addition to developing your professional expertise with GAAP and SAP through mentorship, you will have the opportunity to engage in continuous improvement, collaborate with agency partners, and make a tangible impact through stewardship of public resources. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with occasional in-office days when work dictates such requirements. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- You will be required to report to headquarters to pick up your equipment and attend periodic meetings at your expense. Telework is subject to change at any time.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 24 college credits in accounting.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
