Subcontracts Supervisor

The Supervisor, Subcontracts is responsible for leading a team that manages subcontract lifecycle activities, including solicitations, negotiations, award, administration, and closeout of subcontracts in compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, and company policy. This role ensures subcontracting practices support business goals and contractual compliance, while providing daily oversight and coaching to staff.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Subcontracts Supervisor: Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Subcontracts Supervisor Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise a team of Subcontract Administrators and Specialists, providing guidance on daily activities, workload prioritization, and professional development.
  • Review and support subcontract solicitations, bids, evaluations, and award recommendations.
  • Assist in the negotiation of subcontract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance and alignment with program requirements.
  • Prepare and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements under guidance from management.
  • Monitor subcontract performance, ensuring deliverables, milestones, and compliance obligations are met.
  • Support internal reviews, audits, and Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) readiness.
  • Maintain subcontract files and documentation in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Program Management, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Provide updates and reporting on subcontract status, risks, and key metrics.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Subcontracts Supervisor Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in government contracting, including experience with subcontracts and procurement.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government acquisition regulations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with contract management systems and CPSR environments a plus.
  • U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
