Overview
VTG is expanding rapidly and seeking a driven, mid-level to Senior-level Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) professional to support a growing program at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB). This position is ideal for an energetic engineer who is eager to apply a diverse technical background in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment supporting critical national security efforts.
What will you do?
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and engineering expertise across multiple disciplines including software development, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, electrical engineering, and systems engineering.
- Collaborate closely with government and contractor teams to provide objective, unbiased support to acquisition and engineering processes.
- Support technical evaluations, readiness reviews, system design assessments, and requirements analysis.
- Track project milestones, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Assist with the integration and testing of complex systems and software components.
- Contribute to technical documentation, analysis reports, and decision briefs.
Do you have what it takes?
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity).
- 3+ years of experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects may be considered).
- Knowledge or hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Software development (Python, Java, C++, etc.)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Cybersecurity principles or tools
- Electrical/embedded systems
- Systems engineering and integration
- Strong desire to learn, contribute, and grow in a mission-focused environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.
Desired: SAP experience is desired.
