Device Quality Manager Sr. DQM The Device Quality Manager DQM is responsible for ensuring that our products are manufactured for quality. During the new product development NPI the DQM will develop an out-of-the-box audit OBA process for factory production based on critical customer use cases of the product. With guidance from Quality Engineering Manager QEM and the product SW QA team, DQM will work with the contract manufacturer in delivering a robust OBA process that validates product HW/SW functionality and product cosmetics characteristics to ensure that Lab126 delivers high-quality products to customers. The DQM will also own factory quality in the sustaining phase of the product. The successful candidate will monitor production performance against established quality goals by conducting regular factory audits, partnering with the Site Technical Manager STM to lead full investigation and failure analysis, leading to root cause determination and subsequent closed-loop corrective action. DQM must possess a high sense of urgency when managing critical issues. DQM will lead factory quality lessons learned and institute remedies to prevent the recurrence of such issues. In addition, the DQM will provide a production quality health report to management in the sustaining phase and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the job. DQM will also initiate quality pre-alerts for any quality escapes from the factory impacting customers and lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities to provide effective issue resolution. Key job responsibilities BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of a BSME/BSIE/BSEE or equivalent training experience o Preferred 5 years of working experience in engineering and/or quality o Experience with Linux and Python o Previous experience with PHY (Physical Layer) Performance Metrics o Experience with RF Chamber o Good understanding of assembly manufacturing and testing processes in a high-volume electronic consumer devices manufacturing environment o Problem Solver - Deliver solutions to complex problems through in-depth data analysis and forensics using a methodical approach such as DMAIC, along with experience, innovation, and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information o Solid understanding and demonstrated success with practical applications of Lean / Six Sigma tools such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, Measurement System Analysis, Analysis of Variance, Hypothesis Testing, Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Charts Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility Cpk. o Technical knowledge of conducting process audits and formulating plans to drive continual quality improvements within the factory operations o Must be self-motivated/self-directed is able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and flawlessly. o Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MSME/MSIE/MSEE o Knowledge of Quality System, Device quality management experience, Antenna, and Radio frequency experience o Test scripts development o ASQ certified Six Sigma Green, Black belt, CQE, CQM, and CQA certifications are highly desired o Ability to create and innovate quality deliverables/processes during new product development and sustaining program management o Advanced understanding and deployment of quality tools o Ability to influence others in an ambiguous environment while interacting at all levels within the organization. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
