Product Manager A Product Management Officer is responsible for the development and management of consumer and business deposit and loan products and services that will meet the needs of our clients. Your ability to create strategic roadmaps, business cases, and marketing plans enables you to successfully execute product strategies. You will be the product segment's subject matter expert and collaborate with vendors and internal business units to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and client satisfaction. What You Will Be Doing
- Managing the product life cycle of assigned product families from strategic planning to tactical execution. Identifying opportunities to broaden product offerings through a continuous review of market conditions and segment needs, industry and financial trends, and solicitation of feedback from sales teams and clients. Prioritizing product enhancements based upon the bank's overall strategic objectives.
- Developing and maintaining a continuous strategic roadmap for product development which will serve as the foundation for resource planning, capital expenditures, and profit objectives.
- Creating business cases for strategic investment, to include expected outcomes, metrics and critical steps necessary to accomplish relevant objectives. Collaborating with project management resources to provide business requirements, vendor selection criteria, and other design elements necessary for successful project completion.
- Functioning as the subject matter expert for assigned products. Keeping abreast of the legal, regulatory, risk, and industry environment.
- Analyzing financial, segment, and market data intelligence. Identifying factors that influence product profitability, including product pricing and rates, and develop strategies to positively impact financial performance and client satisfaction. Defining and tracking key performance metrics.
- Routinely meeting with front-line sales staff to seek feedback on client experiences and product adoption.
- Working with marketing and sales management groups to develop media strategies, product promotions, training materials, and sales goals.
- Representing the bank through participation in professional organizations, conferences/working groups, and speaking engagements.
- Managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and tracking overall vendor performance through routine communication, issue resolution, and service level measurement.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university strongly recommended; MBA preferred
- A minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience and/or training in consumer deposit, consumer lending, or small business product management; proven understanding of banking business models; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential.
- Strong marketing instincts and sound business judgement.
- Multi-lingual, a plus
