PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES: Review work orders, blueprints, and materials to ensure specifications match. Set up CNC lathe machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and setting offsets. Select appropriate tooling and machine programs; inspect first piece and make adjustments as necessary. Load raw materials and perform regular inspections throughout production runs. Operate multiple CNC lathes when appropriate, maximizing machine uptime. Ensure all parts meet quality standards using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.). Complete required production documentation and data entry. Perform routine machine maintenance and notify supervisors of any mechanical issues. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform all other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Associates degree with emphasis in machine tool operation or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: One or more years of experience operating CNC lathes or similar machines. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Solid math and problem-solving skills; ability to calculate offsets and dimensions. Familiar with G-code programming and CNC controls (Fanuc, Mazak, Haas, etc.). Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles. Ability to use precision measuring tools to inspect work. Experience with tool changes, offset adjustments, and minor troubleshooting. Basic computer skills for data entry and machine programming.
