Job Summary

The Contingency Operations Coordinator organizes daily course and transportation schedules to ensure schedules are created and kept. Additionally, he schedules many portions of the Special Warfare training programs. This role requires a highly organized individual with a deep understanding of Air Force Special Warfare training and mission requirements. The scheduler will ensure that training activities are efficiently planned, resources are optimally allocated, and schedules are adhered to, supporting the overall mission This position is located at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Provide Contractor designated course operations coordination, planning, and management of daily SW course operations.
  • Take direction from and keep the course Contractor PM appraised of all activities.
  • Serve as the primary course scheduler for Contractor designated operations.
  • Coordinate with base transportation on student movements and ensure students' transportation requirements are met.
  • Build and coordinate the draft contractor/training schedule; distribute the final schedule once approved.
  • Create, coordinate, and disseminate the weekly training schedule.
  • Attend Course Staff, Scheduling, Training, and other meetings.
  • Convert the weekly plan into the schedule format.
  • Send the draft schedules for review to the course Contractor PM and Course leadership.
  • Attend the 351 SWTS Scheduling Meetings; be prepared to brief the specific course schedule and coordinate with other Course Schedulers for Gyms, Tracks, Pools, and other training resources.
  • Provide general office support to facilitate contract performance to include, but not limited to, completing data calls, answering phone calls, drafting business memos, providing timely correspondence, and requesting office materials.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to facilitate daily coordination and activity to include coordination of facilities and training areas.
  • Provide support to Field Training exercises to include but not limited to operating tactical vehicles, driving trailers, operating small arms and crew served weapons, and navigating mountainous terrain as required by exercise objectives.

Required Qualifications and Education
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a scheduler or in a related field, preferably within Special Warfare, military or defense-related environment.
  • Deep understanding of Air Force Special Warfare training and mission requirements.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
  • No clearance required for this position
Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Able to operate outside of a normal office environment where restrooms and washing facilities are not available.
