The Institute for Families ( IFF) at the Rutgers University School of Social Work exists to advance the professional practices and knowledge base of individuals and organizations dedicated to creating brighter futures for children, youth, and their caregivers. IFF implements a portfolio of programs and evaluations that enhance the capacity of child welfare and human service systems-primarily through training, technical assistance, and applied research services-which reach more than 30,000 child- and family-serving professionals annually.
Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Technical Assistant for the Institute for Families at the School of Social Work.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Supports web application and database development, testing and support for the DCF Learning Management System projects and services.
  • Fulfills other tasks as needed.

FLSA Nonexempt
Salary Details $16 per hour

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with and knowledge of any of the following programs/software: PHP, MySQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, Linux, Apache, Moodle or other LMS.

  • The position is for 20-30 hours per week.
  • Business hours are nine o'clock in the morning to six o'clock in the evening.
