Aon is looking for an Associate Director-Client Services Unit-Private Equity in Bannockburn, IL

This is a hybrid role working from our Bannockburn, IL office 1-2 days per week

As part of an industry-leading team, you will empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our US Commercial Risk Service Center within Aon Business Services in Bannockburn, IL. As an Associate Director, you will report directly to the Director of Aon Client Services (ACS) and manage licensed specialists.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make employment decisions, evaluate and rewards staff performance, recommend training and development opportunities.
  • Manage overall employee performance and where appropriate communicate disciplinary and corrective action. Including all administrative functions such as attendance & time tracking, scheduling personal to accommodate workflow, distributing work assignments to specialists according to level of experience.
  • Addresses unusual or difficult inquiries/situations through direct personal action or refer to the appropriate individuals, research complex issues and handle to resolution.
  • Routinely confers with the team to ensure they are properly supported and provided with appropriate tools and training. Develop, recommend, implement, and interpret client service procedures; evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of current operations and systems.
  • Participate in office and client visits, including occasional travel to our Aon Center office in Chicago. Participate in the development of client solutions with all levels of colleague ranging from specialist to COO.
  • Assist specialists in developing effective relationship with the field office, clients and outsourced provider. Coordinate activities with other internal units as required to meet customer expectations.
  • Review specialist performance to determine if client fulfillment is in accordance with client's expectations and firm compliance as it relates to timeliness and accuracy of ACS deliverables.
  • Ensure team is resolving inquiries associated with all aspects of ACS service delivery and providing consultative services and solutions to insured inquiries.
  • Validate staff members are performing the necessary activities to initiate and deliver a renewal, process an invoice, issue auto IDs, process surplus lines, issues emergency certificates client requests related to ACS service.
  • Follow-up with specialist for status on large overdue financial items from Brokers, Account Executives and/or Account Specialists and report on the status for month and quarter close.
  • Ensure specialists keep the client management system of record accurate and current. Proper maintenance of documentation in electronic management system.
  • Help team members and colleagues troubleshoot and resolve client issues around ACS deliverables. Provide direction and guidance to team members who are confronted with unfamiliar or complex client issues.
  • Develop, interpret, and ensure the consistent application of department policies.
  • Responsible for handling Private Equity Clients.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Must attain and maintain P&C license within 6 month
  • 3 or more years of supervisory experience
  • 7+ years of commercial insurance experience
  • Proven effective supervisory and leadership skills in being flexible, creative, team-oriented and process-driven.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in specialized insurance programs, structure, management and administration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in a team lead or supervisory capacity with the ability to interact effectively at various employee levels.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate/Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $85,000 to $105,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

Whether it is bonus/commission eligible

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
