By analyzing market and technology trends, shaping strategic plans, and translating insights into compelling executive narratives, they help guide the direction of our global business.

What youll achieve

We are seeking a seasoned Strategic Consultant to join our Software Procurement team. This role merges strategic consulting and executive communications into a single function focused on shaping and communicating cutting-edge software partnership and category strategies. You will operate at the intersection of market intelligence, business analysis, and visual storytelling to influence executive decision-making and help drive transformational growth.

You will:

• Lead the creation of executive-level presentations and strategic narratives that synthesize complex technical and market data into clear, compelling recommendations.
• Support senior leadership, including direct collaboration with the VP of Software Procurement, in shaping and presenting long-term strategies.
• Develop holistic software category and partner strategies by working with Global Commodity Managers (GCMs), technologists, and subject matter experts across functions.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholdersincluding product, engineering, sales, legal, and leading technology vendors like Microsoft and NVIDIAto align on business goals and partnership models.
• Distill internal and external research into actionable strategies and communicate these via high-quality visual deliverables.

Essential Requirements:

• 1015 years of experience in strategic consulting or corporate strategy
• Proven experience developing C-suite-ready materials and executive presentations.
• Excellent skills in data interpretation, structured thinking, and visual storytelling (PowerPoint, Excel; Tableau or Miro a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.

Desired Requirements:

• MBA from a top-tier program preferred.
• Background in a top consulting firm or high-caliber corporate strategy team.
• Experience in procurement, strategic partnerships, or software vendor management.
• Strong design sensibility and ability to convey complex strategies visually and concisely.

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is

$168,300 - $217,800.
