Material Handler

Staffmark is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join a leading manufacturing team in Berea, KY. This role offers a steady weekday schedule and the chance to grow with a supportive team in a clean, organized environment. Pay: $16.25 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify, and store incoming parts, materials, and supplies
• Supply production areas with scheduled materials to maintain workflow
• Prepare and stage finished products and components for shipment
• Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records
• Operate forklifts, rack loaders, and other material-handling equipment safely
• Conduct daily pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections
• Keep storage areas clean and free of debris, dunnage, and recyclable materials
• Follow proper PPE use and promote a safety-first work environment
• Assist with cleaning spray equipment and general housekeeping
• Support company policies related to safety, environmental practices, and inventory control

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of material handling or warehouse experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid forklift license and ability to operate related equipment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read/interpret POs, BOLs, packing slips, etc.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems (Kanban, OAR, MRP preferred)
• Safety awareness and proper PPE use in a manufacturing environment
• National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) preferred
