We are actively looking for a Senior Wellness Specialist to join our Human Resources/Total Rewards team. As part of the Human Resources Group, the Senior Wellness Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive wellness programs that promote the health and well-being of employees. This role requires a deep understanding of wellness principles, strong program management skills, and the ability to engage and motivate employees to participate in wellness initiatives. The Senior Wellness Specialist acts as a lead strategist, program manager, and advisor, working to create a culture of well-being and empower individuals to achieve their optimal physical, mental, and emotional health. Additionally, this role will support the general tasks related to benefit administration, as needed.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Design and implement wellness programs that address physical, mental, and emotional health. Tailor programs to meet the diverse needs of the workforce through surveys, data analysis, and needs assessment techniques
  • Health Education: Develop and deliver educational materials and workshops on various health topics, such as nutrition, exercise, stress management, and mental health
  • Employee Engagement: Create strategies to increase employee participation in wellness programs. Organize wellness challenges, events, and activities to foster a culture of health through promotion, engagement, partnerships, and community involvement when applicable
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs. Use insights to make data-driven decisions and improvements
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to provide wellness services, such as fitness classes, health screenings, and counseling services. Creating detailed plans, timelines, and budgets for wellness programs and events, and then actively coordinating and facilitating their delivery. This might include workshops, seminars, and educational sessions
  • Compliance: Ensure all wellness programs comply with relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA and ADA
  • Communication: Develop and distribute communication materials to promote wellness programs and initiatives. Maintain regular communication with employees to keep them informed and engaged
  • General Benefit Administration: Assist in monthly reporting, invoicing, and benefit billing processes to ensure timely payment of all invoices
  • General Benefit Communication: Participate in the development of general benefit communications, including, but not limited to open enrollment training materials, employee orientation materials, etc.
  • Special Projects: Lead or participate in special projects related to employee wellness, such as new program launches or wellness technology implementations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in wellness program management or benefit administration
  • Strong program management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate employees
  • Proficiency in wellness software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively across the business and at all levels of the organization

Preferred education and experience

  • Experience working within a global organization
  • Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) or similar certification preferred
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively within the HR function as well as across the business and at all levels of the organization.
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base salary range:

$113,000 to $150,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California markets.

Working conditions:

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
