Special Assistant
On-Site - Washington, DC Think Consulting is seeking a Special Assistant to join an influential organization in the education policy and advocacy space. This role is ideal for an early-career professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in executive operations, communications, public policy, and event coordination. The Special Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Executive Office and advancing organizational initiatives that promote transformative educational reform.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Office, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
Prepare and process expense reports, manage documentation, and support back-office operations.
Draft and edit correspondence and communications for leadership, ensuring high levels of professionalism and clarity.
Liaise with external stakeholders such as donors, elected officials, and media contacts on behalf of the executive team.
Assist with logistics and on-site execution for events, including materials preparation and vendor coordination.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
1+ years of professional or internship experience in an administrative, policy, or communications role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; ability to quickly learn tools like Salesforce, Slack, and Asana.
Demonstrated interest in education reform, public policy, or mission-driven organizations.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington, DC, with working hours from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
