Special Assistant

On-Site - Washington, DC

Think Consulting is seeking a Special Assistant to join an influential organization in the education policy and advocacy space. This role is ideal for an early-career professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in executive operations, communications, public policy, and event coordination. The Special Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Executive Office and advancing organizational initiatives that promote transformative educational reform.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Office, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.



  • Prepare and process expense reports, manage documentation, and support back-office operations.



  • Draft and edit correspondence and communications for leadership, ensuring high levels of professionalism and clarity.



  • Liaise with external stakeholders such as donors, elected officials, and media contacts on behalf of the executive team.



  • Assist with logistics and on-site execution for events, including materials preparation and vendor coordination.




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.



  • 1+ years of professional or internship experience in an administrative, policy, or communications role.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; ability to quickly learn tools like Salesforce, Slack, and Asana.



  • Demonstrated interest in education reform, public policy, or mission-driven organizations.




This is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington, DC, with working hours from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. The organization offers a collaborative team culture and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, impactful environment.
