About the Job

The role of the Cash Analyst is to handle day to day cash management including reviewing, booking, and reporting an all cash activity. Including maintaining AP process such as setting up new vendors, entering invoices. Printing and distributing checks and subsequent follow up as needed. Maintain intercompany billbacks/AR process including creating and distributing billings.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Daily Cash Management
* Download daily bank activity files
* Create and reconcile daily cash reports
* Research bank errors, wire transfers, and other transactions
* Contact Project Accountant when draw funds arrive
* Execute internal fund transfers and maintain accurate records of cash movements

Accounts Payable (AP) Management
* Special Check Requests
* AP Outsourcing support
* Research payments
* Verify banking information for vendors
* Create weekly open AP reports for payment and/or build weekly check run once reports are approved by accounting
* Print and distribute checks
* Process wire and ACH payments, including preparing wire remittance, and entering or releasing via secure banking website
* Process wire/ACH payment in Workday
* Process void checks, payment returns, invoice reversals, and workflow restarts
* Place stop payments on lost checks

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management
* Receive, log, and prepare checks for deposit
* Maintain intercompany billbacks, create, and distribute billings, and follow up on aging AR
* Create and distribute monthly aging AR reports to each business unit to re-pay billbacks

Reporting & Compliance
* Ensure treasury related compliance is in place for payment related activities
* Assist other departments (e.g., project accounting, corporate accounting) with month-end and ad-hoc information requests as needed

Cash Operations Support
* Assist in tracking bank fees
* Administer/Assist with ACH Program
* Administer/Maintain the Procurement Card Program

Technology & Process Improvement
* Assist in automating treasury reports and optimizing bank portal and ERP integrations
* Identify opportunities to streamline cash operations and reduce manual tasks

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements:

* 4 year Finance or Accounting Degree required.
* 4-10+ years of related work experience.
* Passion and desire to have a career in the Real Estate industry
* Prior Real Estate experience, specifically multifamily, a plus.

* Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Workday FIN a plus.
* Proactively evaluate automation of existing manual processes
* Ability to interact directly with supervisor and regional teams.
* Experience in financial modeling and cash forecasting beneficial
* Variance Analysis experience.

Other Requirements:

* Position requires candidate who can interface with a number of different personality types and different levels within the company.
* Involves communication with our development and construction groups.
* Must have good oral and written communication skills
* Requires time management and organizational skills
* Self-motivated; exhibits initiative; resourceful
* Ability to prioritize work assignments to consistently meet critical work deadlines
