Ownership and accountability for the performance and execution of all MPO programs aligned to the aligned MPO portfolio to include Profit and Loss (P&L).

Job Description

Job Summary:
The mission of the RealmOne Portfolio Vice President (PVP) is ownership and accountability for the performance and execution of all MPO programs aligned to the aligned MPO portfolio to include Profit and Loss (P&L). The PVP works directly with program managers to establish strategic goals and a growth vision for each program, ensuring each program's goals, KPI's and technical execution are in line with the goals set forth by the EVP Service Delivery. The PVP is a leader that is fully capable of casting a vision to a large and dispersed portfolio, encouraging collaboration across multiple programs, and able to lead and mentor program managers throughout the portfolio.

The Portfolio Vice President shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Develop and display a mastery of the aligned MPO portfolio including technical capabilities, missions, and customers.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Financial Officer and other corporate leadership in creating and managing a portfolio budget to include:
    • Forecasting revenue and expenses
    • Analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
    • Developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs
    • Monitoring financial performance against targets and making adjustments as needed
    • Communicating financial results and performance to stakeholders
  • Conduct capacity planning across the Delivery organization with the Operations Transition Manager and budget planning for capacity-based hiring.
  • Lead active RealmOne Markets including MPO, LPO, SETA, and others including casting visions for those markets, working with the leads and growth team to increase our presence in them, and developing close relationships with key customer decision makers and executives.
  • Identify and monitor KPIs across the portfolio including award fee scores, CPEA scores, customer satisfaction, staffing, and others as identified.
  • Develop strategies to improve KPIs in collaboration with support from corporate delivery and operations organizations.
  • Mentor and develop career pathing for key Program Managers and other Rising Leaders to ensure we retain and grow our most valuable leaders.
  • Participate in growth strategy discussions as related to the MPO Mission Operations Portfolio Pipeline including Gate Reviews, Color Reviews, and other Growth meetings to represent.
  • Develop and ensure a culture of growth across the portfolio focusing on how we grow current contracts, staff current contracts, and looking for opportunities to help customers solve their toughest problems.
  • Collaborate with the Technology organization to inform investments and create whitepapers focused on addressing emerging technology gaps and mission support staff technical development needs.
  • Collaborate with the Finance organization to manage portfolio and individual program budgets, execute employee engagement activities for retention, and compensation strategies like bonuses and spot awards. Develop and implement strategies to align direct labor on prime programs with corporate goals.
  • Collaborate with the People Services organization to ensure programs are staffed to acceptable levels and any HR issues are addressed quickly and thoroughly.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in a field of study relevant to the RealmOne business is preferred but not required.
  • A current PMP certification is required.
  • Requires 15+ years of experience leading teams within the DoD with progressive scale and responsibility.
  • Experience as a Program Manager on large scale programs within the DoD is desired but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a typical office environment in Columbia, MD.
  • Position may require travel as identified by the customers and individual to meet with employees or customers.
  • Work Schedule - Full-time Monday-Friday with flexibility for off hours if needed to be responsive to employees or other corporate needs.

  • Must be a motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and follow through consistently seeing solutions through to implementation.
  • Must be an excellent communicator - verbal & written.
  • Must be able to connect with individuals of varying backgrounds and articulate the RealmOne culture, strategy, solutions, and capabilities.

Pay Range: Competitive
