Your Opportunity as the Distribution Supervisor The Distribution Supervisor will also be responsible for managing all departmental activities and defined safety programs and KPI standards, coaching their team on work-related activities while continuing to help them grow professionally, and collaborating cross-functionally with the operations team. The supervisor will engage and motivate the team to maintain safety, quality, and compliance for storage and distribution of our brands in accordance with the company's policies and standards. Location: 30800 W. 207th Street, Edgerton, KS 66021 (Hostess Distribution Center) Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, Tuesday-Friday 3:30pm-2:30am (flexibility to support off-shifts or weekends when required) In this role you will:
Plan and continuously monitor departmental operation throughout the shift to ensure that all work requirements and customer needs are being met. Be responsible for instilling the Smucker culture through the Basic Beliefs and Our Commitment to Each Other. Be responsible for safety, facility security, and housekeeping on shift. Provide performance-based feedback to direct reports Drive and implement the business plan to achieve or exceed goals. Implement Lean principles to drive operational improvements. Monitor and ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures and directives. Prepare, review, analyze and present business reports and updates to identify operational improvements in production, quality, and safety. Assist in staffing and training of assigned associates. Assist in scheduling and movement of labor in the facility in order to achieve company objectives. Ensure that all equipment is maintained and compliant with company policies. Demonstrate and promote a solution based positive attitude in meeting goals and objectives. Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained with an eye for detail. Promote and ensure a safe work environment. Translate complex information into easily understandable messages to facilitate clear communication and expectations across all levels of the organization.

Bachelor's Degree is required 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or a distribution center environment 2 years of experience in inventory management within distribution logistics Demonstrated planning, organizational, and analytical skills Effectively use and operate computer software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have the ability to prioritize work based on impact to the business and communicate priorities effectively to leadership and to peers Willingness to work a flexible schedule (including off-shift as needed)
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
Experience in Blue Yonder, Oracle and IMI systems is a plus. ability to multi-task, set and manage priorities based on business requirements. Ability to make sound decisions with limited direction. Highly organized; Ability to plan, direct, and administer work efforts in order to accomplish company objectives. Ability to learn and effectively utilize WMS and TMS systems.
Work Environment: This job operates in a warehouse environment. The noise level in the work environment sites can be high. Physical Demands:
Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently. May push and pull heavy trash carts, and portable equipment Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
