Job Overview:

To perform electrical maintenance and minor electrical installations. Includes installing for data and wiring for heat light and power. Complete apprenticeship program and is currently a member of Local 3 IBEW.

Essential Functions:

• Perform electrical maintenance
• Install conduit for light, heat and power
• Responsible for maintaining vertical transportation
• Responsible to install low voltage wiring for data and phone
• Adhere to work schedule for the team including evenings and weekends
• To keep their work area clean and follow all safety standards

Qualifications and Competencies:

High Scool Diploma or equivalent required

3-5 years related experience

• Low voltage wiring
• Be able to install and terminate data cabling
• Be able to install and terminate fire alarm cabling
• Be able to install high voltage wiring
• Install conduits from inch to 1 inch
• Basic understanding of NYC electrical code
• Proficient in trouble-shooting electrical circuits
• Installation of receptacles in finished areas
• Proficient in trouble shooting electrical machinery
• Basic understanding of vertical transportation
• Completed apprenticeship program and have gotten a journeyman certification
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
