About the Role We seek a highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team focused on ensuring fairness and regulatory compliance in sensitive ad domains such as housing, employment, and credit. This role is critical in expanding our ad ranking models to new regions, ensuring they align with local laws and ethical standards.
You will work on developing and refining models that detect and correct biases in ad delivery, ensuring equitable representation across age, gender, race, and other sensitive attributes. Your work will directly impact how ads are shown to users, promoting fairness and inclusivity in digital advertising. Key Responsibilities * Analyze and manipulate large datasets using SQL and other data tools to identify patterns and biases. * Develop and enhance machine learning models to ensure fair ad delivery across diverse demographics. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand regional compliance requirements and integrate them into model logic. * Expand existing models to support localization across multiple regions and regulatory environments. * Monitor model performance and fairness thresholds, ensuring alignment with internal and external compliance standards. * Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * (Optional) Build dashboards and visualizations to track fairness metrics and model performance. Must-Have Qualifications * Strong experience in Machine Learning, SQL, and data analytics/manipulation. * Proven ability to work with large-scale datasets and derive actionable insights. * Understanding of fairness in machine learning and bias mitigation techniques. * Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Nice-to-Have Qualifications * Experience with reinforcement learning or similar advanced ML techniques. * Background in localization of models for international markets. * Familiarity with sensitive ad categories (housing, employment, credit). * Experience creating interactive dashboards (e.g., using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools).
