Overview:
We are seeking skilled Flight Test Service Technicians to support critical aircraft engine testing and maintenance operations. These roles are essential to ensuring the airworthiness, reliability, and safety of propulsion systems during the flight test phase. Candidates must hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification and possess strong technical expertise in gas turbine engines and aircraft systems.
Key Responsibilities:
*Serve as a key representative during all phases of engine flight testing, including pre-flight planning, post-flight review, and maintenance coordination.
*Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, and repair turbine engines in accordance with technical manuals, engineering directives, and FAA regulations.
*Monitor and maintain test engine configurations, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout testing campaigns.
*Oversee and document the airworthiness status of propulsion systems used in flight test programs.
*Supervise, inspect, and approve maintenance tasks performed on flight test propulsion systems to ensure safety and procedural compliance.
*Support logistics related to parts procurement, configuration changes, scrapping, and repair coordination.
*Create, review, and update operational documentation and maintenance procedures for continuous improvement and compliance.
*Troubleshoot engine and aircraft discrepancies, including resolving pilot squawks and documenting issue findings.
*Assist with engine installations and on-aircraft maintenance and provide support during active flight test operations as needed.
Core Qualifications:
*3 years' experience in gas turbine engine maintenance and aircraft systems support.
*Strong understanding of FAA Part 25 certification standards, engine operability, and performance considerations.
*Computer Savvy w/ proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
*Excellent communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
*Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident due to the nature of the work.
Required Certification:
*Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification - mandatory for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline (not required).
*Ability to develop strong cross-functional working relationships in a dynamic test environment.
*Clear and concise technical writing and reporting capabilities.
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to regulatory and procedural detail.
