About Team / Role
WEX Inc is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to join the Process Improvement and Financial Systems Team. This role will be part of the Anaplan Center of Excellence, partnering across FP&A, Finance Systems, HR, and IT to craft new functionality, support end user adoption, and champion process improvements.

How you'll make an impact

  • Collaborate closely with the systems team to quickly and efficiently diagnose and resolve a range of issues affecting systems such as Anaplan, including data integration errors, user access problems, and model performance bottlenecks.

  • Leverage your Anaplan certifications and model building experience as an Anaplan Center of Excellence member to deliver transformational enhancements to WEX's revenue and expense models.

  • Has the ability to remain agile and strategically partner with FP&A, Finance Systems, HR, and IT to design and implement innovative new functionality that meets evolving business needs, ensure successful end-user adoption through comprehensive support and change management, and drive impactful process improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy across the organization.

  • Utilize your problem-solving skills and strategic perspective to identify areas for enhancement within our best-in-class forecasting tool, focusing on aspects such as user experience, data integration, modeling accuracy, and reporting capabilities.

  • With minimal supervision has the ability to independently bring new ideas and solutions to persistent problems to reimagine and reshape our forecasting and reporting processes.

  • Develop targeted prototypes and proof-of-concepts to explore innovative ways of addressing critical business requirements, demonstrating their potential impact and viability before translating them into practical operational solutions that contribute to measurable business improvements.

  • Drive scale by standardizing and improving methodologies across our Anaplan model landscape, maintenance processes, and documentation

Experience you'll bring

  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of financial analysis experience, preferably at the corporate level of a publicly traded company or advanced Anaplan Certification (Solution Architects). Candidates with fewer years of experience will be considered. Interdisciplinary finance experience (treasury, tax, and accounting) or specific systems experience may supplement years of experience requirement

  • Advanced experience with Anaplan, Certified Model Builder preferred

  • Advanced skills with Microsoft products including excellent Excel and Access skills

  • Experience with automations tools such as Alteryx, UI Path, Tableau a plus

  • Proactive and able to work independently yet can also work in a team environment

  • Ability to work and achieve deadlines

  • Ability to manage competing priorities

  • Results oriented

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
