Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in New York, NY. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• First point of contact for end business users in Rates
• Ownership and delivery of on-boarding support of or processes into the MAPS organization
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, application development personnel, and infrastructure contacts
• Monitor and alert of critical trading system environments
• Troubleshooting of complex systems issues
• Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements
• Proactive identification and resolution of problem hotspots
• Accurate tracking of support effort to enable effective management reporting
• Release implementation and enforcement of change management policyMajor Incident management and Problem Management
• Pricing and trade capture, risk generation and aggregation, market and reference data

Requirements:

• Hands on experience providing direct support to front office trading desks
• Business knowledge of fixed income product
• Understanding of market data flows
• Monitoring Tools: Dynatrace, Splunk and ITRS Geneos
• Unix
• SQL
• Python
• ITIL
• Grid Computing
• Quartz

Pay Range: $53.20 - $61.20
