Supply Chain Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manager Supply Chain activities under the direction of the Plant Manager and in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide leadership to Supply Chain employees through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
  • Responsible for continuing programs of exploration of new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery.
  • Direct and lead the day-to-day operations of the West Spokane Warehouse, including the receipt, storage, and shipping of raw materials and finished goods, and inventory control. Participate and contribute to achieving the maximum utilization of Sage 100 ERP relative to the scope of materials management.
  • Oversee the maintenance of records for all shipping and receiving activities, verifying their accuracy.
  • Responsible for the coordination of physical and cycle counts of inventories, ensuring the accuracy of counts including the coordination and execution of the annual physical inventory.
  • Maintain inventory within the Warehouse per Silgan Unicep FIFO procedure.
  • Develop, implement, train, and hold accountable staff in the transactional discipline of the company's information systems as well as on inventory flow between inventory locations and the production floor/work orders.
  • Develop and report against departmental initiatives and metrics to measure performance in coordination with Plant Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, OSHA, and all other regulatory requirements, in accordance with company policy.
  • Participate in the development, assessment, training, and accountability of direct reports.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Adhere to company safety and environmental requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in an FDA regulated manufacturing facility, with a demonstrated ability to implement systems that promote GMP compliance preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP and GDP requirements.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with materials, inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize meeting established timelines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently required to sit and walk.
  • Frequently required to walk up and down stairs.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (12kg).
  • Vision ability includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay Range: $89,000-$105,000
